About St. Jerome's

Saint Jerome's Episcopal Church is located in the village of Chama in northern New Mexico. We are a small but warm and welcoming congregation. Our mission statement is as follows:

St. Jerome's stands as people of God, with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are here to represent Christ to all people, act as good stewards to all of God's creation, and support each other by sharing our strengths as we continue God's work in the world.

Our church is currently awaiting a new vicar. During this time, we are being supplied by a number of rotating priests from neighboring communities.

Our congregation nurtures a genuine love for Christ and we would love for you to come and visit us!

What we believe

As Episcopalians, we believe in and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.

We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.

The Episcopal Church embraces a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; people of all genders and sexual orientations serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy work together in leadership and governance.
